The Southend is the new “hotspot” neighborhood on West Palm Beach’s waterfront. Lovingly referred to as “SoSo” (South of Southern), the neighborhood runs from Southern Blvd to the Canal before West Palm Beach becomes Lake Worth, along Flagler Dr west to South Dixie. SoSo was primarily built in the 40’s and 50’s and has many “ranch” style concrete block homes from that era, along with mid-century modern, and a diverse architecture list including styles from ultra-modern to Mediterranean. The area has become immensely popular with many homes being renovated as restaurants and shops along the Dixie corridor. A big draw of the neighborhood is that it is a short walk to the Intracoastal and many residents walk (or walk their dogs) and bike up and down Flagler Drive along the waterway.
